Packaged and UN-packaged Gorillapods both contain the same product. We offer the unpackaged version as a more environmentally friendly alternative, or for people who want to save some money and don't need the fancy packaging.
Keep in mind, however, that the packaging for our packaged Gorillapods is made from some of the most recycling-friendly materials, and the whole packaging can be recycled.

We offer FREE ground shipping on all Gorillapod orders to customers in the continental United States. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada is charged at cost (i.e. you just pay what it costs us to send it. We don't make money off shipping). International shipping is also available and is charged according to destination.

No, the Gorillapod SLR-ZOOM does not have a quick-release plate like the other two Gorillapods. The SLR-ZOOM was designed for use with a ball-head or professional tripod head, so we didn't include a quick-release plate. However, you are NOT required to use it with a ball-head. You can still use the SLR-ZOOM model with your camera simply by screwing it into the tripod mount.
